An E-Commerce Platform for Pre-Loved Luxury Goods
Butter has partnered with Chadi Nouri since 2018 and has enjoyed a strong relationship since then. We developed a new luxury good E-Commerce platform for their startup brand, which is now expanding internationally. Her collection boasts impressive rare and vintage finds, ranging from the coveted Hermes birkin to a classic 70’s Pepsi Rolex.
Platform Objectives
When we first met Chadi we quickly became excited by the venture, and were keen to partner with her on website development for her empowering endeavour. We began by analysing the competitive landscape, across pre-owned and retail, and as always, we looked to identify best in class practices to draw inspiration from.
We were first engaged to design, develop and launch a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) solution to support the business in its state at the time, with a scalable infrastructure to support the growth of the Chadi Luxury platform into the future.
As Chadi’s brand revolves around her and her expertise, it was imperative for her to be heavily involved as we built out the brand visuals across the website interface, and as we made recommendations for an optimised customer experience.
Technology
When it comes to high performance E-Commerce, user experience and interface design are crucial to success. Chadi’s website doesn't contain design elements or content without purpose. Each page was designed flexibly on Craft CMS with the customer in mind, from how we lay out product information, to how customers will navigate and search for product. Again, Chadi's depth of expertise in the luxury retail market was an invaluable asset here.

Challenges
While there are many second-hand or luxury E-Commerce sites out there, one of the challenges we faced was finding the right balance between the two, while also giving prominence to her branding.
In order to overcome this, we worked together with Chadi and presented her with moodboard options, which then unfolded into brand usage guidelines that could be universally used not only across her site, but throughout her entire brand.
Results
Since the E-Commerce build, Butter has continually optimised the UX/UI of the website to conduce the brand while also keeping the user interface up to date in its contemporary style.
We also worked with Chadi on her social media marketing, where we mocked up a curation style for her instagram page. We introduced her to Instagram content and feed planning softwares, as well as some sustainable stylistic features for her to explore.
All in all, we couldn't be more pleased with the process or the outcome of our work Chadi Luxury. We’ve loved doing our part to reach this point, and we’re excited to continue to support Chadi Luxury’s journey ahead.
